The short version: use Wordlyy to teach and to play, keep your password safe, keep it friendly for students, and tell us if something goes wrong.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to Wordlyy: the website wordlyy.com and the games on it. By using Wordlyy you agree to them. If you use it on behalf of a school or another organisation, you confirm that you’re allowed to do so.
2. The service
Wordlyy lets teachers run live English games on a shared screen while students play on their own devices. Students play without an account. Teachers register on the sign-in page, or get an account from our administrators. We keep improving the service, so games and features may change, be added or be removed over time.
3. Teacher accounts
- Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and tell us at [email protected].
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
4. Using Wordlyy with students
When you run a game for a class, you’re the adult in the room. In particular:
- follow your school’s rules and local law on phones in class and on students’ data;
- ask students to use nicknames rather than full names;
- remove players with inappropriate nicknames and lock the room when everyone is in.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use Wordlyy to:
- post offensive, hateful or bullying nicknames, clues or answers;
- join or disturb games you weren’t invited to;
- try to get into other people’s accounts or data;
- attack, overload or scrape the site, or access it with bots;
- do anything illegal.
6. Content
The games, their design and the texts on this site, including the proverb and word banks, belong to Wordlyy or are used with permission. You’re welcome to use the public guides and the proverb list in your own teaching, including printing them for your class. Please don’t republish them elsewhere without asking.
What teachers and students type during a game (nicknames, answers, clues) stays theirs. By sending it you let us store it and show it to the class and the teacher, which is how the game works.
7. Advertising
Some public pages may show ads. We don’t control the advertisers’ websites or products and aren’t responsible for them. There are no ads on the screens students play on.
8. Availability
We work to keep Wordlyy running, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. Games are live, so a poor internet connection can interrupt a round. Live games that are in progress may end if the server restarts; rounds already played are kept.
9. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost time or data, that come from using or not being able to use Wordlyy. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Ending
You can stop using Wordlyy at any time, and ask us to delete your teacher account. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Wordlyy after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
